Sorry to take so long in replying to your question, Ronni. That is my understanding as well. There are, I believe, other IV solutions that can be used at your attending physician’s discretion. Depending on the nature of your medical condition, he may very well have sound medical reasons for prescribing one type of IV solution over another. This is a concern that should be discussed with your physician directly. There are still many physicians out there who are not aware of the the benefits of Silver Sol. Hopefully your physician will be receptive to your concerns. Thanks for your interest in Silver Sol and for bringing up this ligitimate concern.

I was wondering if a person as to have an IV is there any kind that can be used that will not inactivate the Silver Sol and if so what kind. Because it was my understanding that saline solution cannot be used if one needed an IV because the saline will inactivate the silver sol. So, what can I do if I have to go in hospital and need an IV and I sure don’t want to get MRSA , is there any other type of IV a person can use that won’t inactivate Silver Sol. Thanks so much.
